Sandy Moffat
CLA Role: Board Member / Dysart Community Representative
Sandy is an experienced Board member with a history of advocating for her community on multiple platforms. Sandy also has a strong managerial background as a Director of a Childcare Centre as well as running her own small business. She is accredited with a B Ed in Early Childhood, taught P-4 before moving to North Queensland for a sea change and moving into small business operations.
“The CLA project is important to me as Child Care has long been undervalued and disrespected. The early years are vitally important so it’s critical that we ensure the industry is thriving and sustainable. We can do this by putting in place strategic policies that give us a platform for strong advocacy to all levels of government.“
Sandy firmly believes that “we can be more than what we are”. She has been an active volunteer for the Dysart Community Support Group for over 10 years and for Variety Children’s Charity Queensland for over 4 years. She also supports Cancer Council Queensland, Prostrate Cancer Foundation Australia, Real Mates Talk (Men’s Mental Health)
