CLA Role: Treasurer

Amanda is also the Director of Simply Sunshine Early Education located in the Isaac Region.

Amanda believes the early learning sector is important to invest in to ensure that our youngest of people are well cared for, and receive the best head start to quality early learning before their formal years of schooling. She feels that children need to feel a sense of security and a sense of belonging within their community to thrive.

Amanda loves living in regional Queensland as it is a great place to raise her family. She describes it as a friendly community where everyone looks out for each other. Everyone is invested in a project, club or event that benefits the entire community in some way, and there is always something to be involved in.

“The CLA project is important to me as I feel that is going to provide opportunities for Early childhood services to come together collaboratively to target key areas of support to the sector, opportunities to strengthen capabilities and in return provide quality education and care for families.”
